Dreams do not wait they continue.

A Change in my life

The Dreamers Dream

In this recurring dream, I find myself in the same apartment each time. The bedrooms and kitchen change in subtle ways depending on the situation, yet the feeling is always familiar. I sense that I am not wanted there. I try to be included in “their” family, watching their interactions from the outside. There are moments when I remember having once belonged — a time when I felt connected and accepted. Often, I am expected to clean or organize the kitchen. Sometimes, a wall opens and I leave through it, stepping out over the garage.

Dreamweaver's Analysis

The Apartment – The Inner Landscape:
The apartment symbolizes a personal and emotional space within the dreamer — a recurring setting that represents an aspect of self or life pattern. The shifting rooms reflect how one’s inner world changes in response to circumstances. Bedrooms, tied to rest and intimacy, and kitchens, tied to nourishment and creativity, reveal that the dream revolves around themes of comfort, belonging, and self-care.

Feeling Unwanted – The Theme of Belonging:
The persistent feeling of being unwanted or excluded may point to underlying experiences or emotions of disconnection — from others, or from parts of oneself. Watching “their” family interact could represent observing connection from the outside, highlighting a longing for inclusion and a deep desire to feel valued and understood.

Cleaning and Organizing the Kitchen – Emotional Processing:
The kitchen, as a place of nourishment, often mirrors the state of one’s emotional or creative life. Being expected to clean or organize it can indicate a sense of emotional responsibility — perhaps taking on the role of the caretaker or the one who restores order. It might also reveal an inner effort to purify or make sense of emotional experiences.

The Wall Opening and Departure – A Passage of Transformation:
When the wall opens and the dreamer exits over the garage, this could symbolize the psyche creating a doorway out of stagnation — a literal breakthrough. The garage, where vehicles and tools are kept, signifies preparation and movement. Leaving through this space suggests readiness for transition, growth, or liberation from an old pattern.

Reflection:

This recurring dream seems to weave together themes of belonging, self-worth, and emotional responsibility. It may be inviting the dreamer to acknowledge old feelings of exclusion or loss, and to rediscover belonging from within rather than through external validation. The act of cleaning and the eventual exit hint at healing — a process of reclaiming one’s emotional space and moving toward greater self-acceptance and freedom.
